Why Use Rapid Rescore

Why use Rapid ReScore?

There are many reasons to Rapid ReScore your credit report. If you need to take control over the information on your credit report you need to process a rapid rescore. If you need your credit score increased fast, you need a rapid rescore. You may not have the time or the confidence to wait for your creditor to update your credit report. Here are some examples of why people use rapid rescoring.

Why use Rapid ReScore #1

You just applied for a loan but your credit scores were too low to qualify. You need to add points to your score quickly.

This is the most common reason people use a rapid rescoring service. If your score came in a bit too low, you may be able to make a few adjustments to your credit, that will allow your score to increase. To expedite that increase, a rapid rescore is performed.

A client was referred to me by a mortgage professional on the Big Island of Hawaii. This person was already in contract to purchase a home and they were due to close in less than 30 days. The only problem was that his score was 18 points too low. After reviewing the credit report, I saw that there were some late payments and collections that were hurting the score. I also noticed that his credit card balances were over the limit. This can severely hurt your credit score. My client informed me that he pays off his credit cards every month. The problem was that his credit report contained old account balance information.

He obtained a letter from both creditors reflecting his new balance. I was able to use his documentation to process a rapid rescore on the two account balances. Within two weeks, his credit report was updated and his score increased 45 points. Not only did he qualify for the loan but he also avoided a costly hit to the rate because his scores had increased so much.

Why use Rapid ReScore #2

There is a mistake on your credit report but your creditor agreed to correct it within 60-90 days. You don't have that much time to wait.

Creditors aren't perfect. They place incorrect information on peoples credit report all the time. They may agree that they made the mistake and they may be willing to correct the error on the next reporting cycle. If you need to have this correction expedited, than you need Rapid ReScoring.

I had a client who has a checking account with a local credit union. He also has an overdraft protection account attached to his checking account. The overdraft account shows up on your personal credit report and it looks like any other revolving account. The problem is that the credit union accidently reported his checking account balance of $10,000.00 as his revolving balance on his overdraft account. It basically looked like he had a $10,000 balance on an account with a limit of $500. His credit score plummeted. We processed a rapid rescore to correct the account balance and his scores went back to normal in a week and a half.

Other clients of ours have had collections, charge offs and late payments reporting in error. If you have a letter from a creditor admitting to the error or stating that the item in question should be deleted from your credit report, we can process a rpaid score and have the information corrected or removed within 5-7 business days.

Why use Rapid Rescore #3

You have proof that an item on your credit report is incorrect or outdated.

79% of credit reports contain mistakes and errors. Chances are, there is an error on your credit report. If you have explicit proof that there is a mistake on your credit report, you may be able to fix that error with rapid rescoring.

Many times our clients have a Home Equity Line of Credit on thier credit report. Many times these accounts are reporting as revolving accounts ir error. This is a problem because it can make a $300,000 Home Equity Line of Credit look like $300,000 of credit card debt. If the account is classified as a revolving account, the balance on the account will have a huge impact on the credit score. This type of correction can add 20-30+ points to your credit score.
